🌿 Backyard Herbalism Summer Series, Workshop 2: The Herbal Apothecary Basics

The second workshop for our summer herbalism series will be held on Sunday, July 19th at 9am through 11:30am, or noon.

Explore the most common methods used by herbalists to capture and preserve plant properties. Learn how to infuse herbs into oils, tinctures, glycerites, and vinegars. We’ll also explore how to use infused oils directly and how to turn them into salves and creams. 🌿

What You’ll Learn

• Herbal vinegars

• Safety and shelf life

Participants will make their own herbal salve using pre-infused oils and have the option of blending herbs for a tincture or glycerite to take home. All herbs, materials, and containers are included in the price of the workshop.
